Aguero

Looks a half decent option for City off the bench.

No doubt he's a good player but I remember Adrian Mutu's Chelsea debut...........and look what happened to him...

Troubled striker Adrian Mutu has been expelled from the Romanian national team for life after spending a night drinking with a team-mate ahead of a friendly against San Marino, coach Victor Piturca said.

Oh come on! It was San Marino not Italy! If he had a few drinks he may only score a brace instead of four or five?

Believe I mentioned him first in the 'signing of the summer' thread.

He was a different class tonight.

Didn't realise the season finished after the first round of matches (bar Spurs v Everton).

He looked ok but then he came on at 1-0 up after the Swansea players had put a huge shift in.

Silva was class tonight though.

Didn't they buy him for the same amount Livepool paid for Carroll

Silva for about £5m more than Downing was decent value as well.

So Silva is streets ahead of Downing. I'll get my coat.

with the addition of Aguero, a more effective Silva, and what looks like a strong back 4, City in my view has as good a chance as Chelsea of winning the title this season. Impossible to look past Utd to win it, but i think City will push them to the last game this season.

Much depends on Mancini's approach to games. Imho, he is a flat track bully who will go for the jugular once victory is assured. Yet, when games are tight, he shuts up shop and would rather take a draw then go for the win. One reason why Italian football is so shite.

"He looked OK, BUT"

Come on, have a look at yourself m8. Aguero is in the top tier of footballers, probably the best attacking player in the premiership.
