frimmers3 Chairman Shahid Azeem expressed his delight at the gift. “Once again the Directors of Chelsea have shown incredible generosity. Many international players have graced this superb pitch and now we look forward to hosting Chelsea’s stars of the future on it at Aldershot next season.”

this is the playing surface as was at season's end. it has now mainly gone: aldershot fans were invited to the ground, and allowed (if they wished) to take away sections of turf.
