The a result of the Day Thread

by AthleticoSpizz » 11 Jan 2020 20:49

Ok, let’s try this for a mainstay thread?

For RR it is possibly Windsor’s result today, for me it’s

Leicester City 1 Southampton 2....just a few weeks ago it was a 0-9 reversal at St Marys

Yep an extra-ordinary turnaround.

Maybe a little premature but......not going particularly well for Villa at the moment

Think they recruited badly and have been unlucky to boot. Need to get 3 or 4 proven Premier League players in, going to be easier said than done though.

‘Result of the day’ hardly it’s Man Citeh after all ...but still an achievement for any team to score 5 goals away from home

That must have been a stellar team talk good old JT gave on the pitch before the match.

I’d say Sheffield Wednesday, just lost their last three, just lost their best striker and up against a side who haven’t lost at home since August

Yes maybe it’s, last weeks runners-up 0 Blackburn 5 (admittedly, Weds we’re down to 10 men for two-thirds of the game)

or Cambridge 0 (start of the day bottom club) Stevenage 4

Palace
Wolves
Blackburn
Stevenage
Southend

My five picks, but would probably give it to Stevenage considering as you say, Wednesday did have 10 men the entire game

Quite a few to choose from last night but I think special mention really has to go to Hitchin Town who delivered a footballing lesson at Peterborough Sports to win 4-0 and drag them closer to safety in the Southern Premier Division Central.

Newcastle scoring in 94th and 95th minute to rescue a 2-2 draw away to Everton has to be considered as well.

That would count as 102 seconds of the day

Nah - was just one middling PL club winning at another middling PL club.
