Head Protection

by phil in cornwall » 22 Apr 2008 21:45

Petr Cech has been wearing his helmet since he rashly headed Stephen Hunt's knees.

Now he has added a chin protector after getting a facial injury in training.

Where will this lead? I suspect that in a few year's time all the players will be wearing headgear for Health and Safety reasons.

But that would make a great difference to forwards heading..... Do you want to see goals scored off helmets??

I certainly don't want to see footballers score with their helmets live on TV.

Don't think you need that many substitute keepers.

Your blinkered views on Lampard are well known but to call Cech the best keeper in the world is starting to suggest that you actually just don't know much about football.

Agreed. John Terry has shown time and again his ability to make crucial saves.
