TheSiegepeterroyal76TheSiege Am I not getting something? Over the last few years several talented players have ended up at clubs that you would not have expected. They did not wish to be where they were, but few people bid for them. The people who do bid sometimes get a star! Should RFC not be involved in this?
Perhaps players have ended up at clubs YOU wouldn't have expected.
So they signed for clubs they didn't wish to? Were they forced to? How do you know this, are you their agent?
If you can neither read nor understand English, please keep your silly comments to yourself! At the end of the Transfer season, players who have fallen out with their clubs - or who the clubs have decided are surplus to requirements, need to find another club to ply their trade. RFC play in the top division of English football - the richest league in the world so we are told! If we are not attractive to decent players, who is? Van der Vaart suddenly ended up at Spurs for half of his value - who forsaw that? Carroll is being pushed out of Liverpool, Modric is in limbo, Dempsey, a midfielder who scores as many goals as Lampard or Gerrard in their prime, is refusing to play for Fulham any more - and that is just the English league! In Europe, half of the clubs are suffering cash-flow crises due to the Euro fiasco. We could strengthen our squad with one of the affected players and Kjaer is a good example. Thus the thread - dimbleby's!
ROFL, you just lost your arguement with that.
(1) How long have Reading been in the top division?
(2) Picking on just one of your list of players. Dempsey is only refusing to play for Fulham because he wants a transfer to a team playing in the Champiuons League and as far as I know, Reading don't fit that bill.
