Fulham and Reading will go head to head over Inter Milan midfielder McDonald Mariga, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

The Kenya international has struggled to nail down a first-team place at the San Siro since joining from Parma two years ago and has spent time back on loan at his former club and at Spanish side Real Sociedad.
Inter are thought to have received several offers for the 25-year-old, including proposals from Fulham and Reading.
The Serie A side will review Mariga's situation in December ahead of the January transfer window, and they could sanction the Kenyan's departure to the Premier League.

If there is any truth in this, it is very likely that Steve Head is the link. Maybe he has been tracking him for when he worked for Fulham.
