Marca are notorious for making non-stories up.

Likelihood of them getting Everton and Reading mixed up? We're just about as likely as them to have £6m to spend on one player  plus our owner was nearly their owner (and it's already Zingarevich 1 Kenwright 0)

But here's the article.

Madrid rejects Everton offer for Cheryshev

Denis Cheryshev continues to make giant strides forward. Last week he made his debut with Russia under Fabio Capello, yesterday it was José Mourinho calling him up to travel to Manchester with the first team. In Real Madrid's most important game of the season so far, the Portuguese coach has remembered the Castilla winger.

After 10 seasons at 'The Factory', Cherysev has exploded onto the scene this year. He has had an incredible start to the campaign and his actions on the field under the command of Toril have not gone unnoticed, neither by Fabio Capello or by José Mourinho, or the scouts frequenting the Alfredo di Stéfano training facility.

Everton is the latest of the teams knocking on Real Madrid´s door with an interest in signing Cheryshev. Last week, the English club submitted an offer of six million Euros for the Russian's services. An enormous sum if you consider that he plays in the Second Division every week.

Despite the sizeable offer, Real Madrid's response had been resounding: "We are not selling Cheryshev". Everton wanted to do the deal in the winter market but Madrid feel that this is not the time to unload one of the main reserve team assets.

Mourinho has flagged the Russian up to the club as a footballer with enormous potential and one who could be a future first team player - the reason it is not currently in the market for offers on him.

Goal.com has him linked with Zenit, too.

Think he's out of our league now, if he was ever in it. Set to make his La Liga debut for Real Madrid tonight.

Ah, it's Copa Del Rey tonight, not La Liga.

Wouldn't be a surprise if we got him but where the hell is he supposed to fit in? Kebe is playing well and defensively he can't be replaced, and the love child McAnuff wont get dropped. If he comes in in place of KRK and McCleary from the bench then fair enough. Just feels a bit Tomasz Cywka all over again...

I've just watched a youtube compilation on him, so I am now in a perfect place to pass judgement.

Yeah he's alright.

Would be a decent signing, good substitute winger? Plenty of talent and flair.

Hope this is true, and if it is, would he be legible for SPURS (A)?

Mike Hunt SDR is solid.

Enough about his weight, but is he reliable? His posts in the past suggest no. The only thing going for this rumour is AZ going public on our interest a couple of months ago.

I was somewhat taking the piss.

Without any proof - I could not trust him. He is a troll so he may just be continuing this trend, but I am not sure why he would use this as bait..

True or not, I'm digging the Noel Edmonds avatar. Deal or no deal?
