P!ssed Off they probably wouldn't let him drop down a division.

What makes you say that?

Powell played two Prem games this season and showed that he was quality, scoring a pretty good goal on his debut even.
Man Utd like to loan players down divisions, especially to Fergie jnr. But Powell seems to be at least of the current ability that Welbeck and Cleverley were at when they were loaned to Prem teams.

If Powell is good enough for regular football with a Prem team (imo he would have got in Reading's team easily this season) then they are unlikely to loan him to the Championship.

As i said, we should try and get him on loan next season, but we probably missed our chance. If Reading did get him on loan I would consider this a minor coup and a great bit of business by the club.

maffff We have scouted him extensively and were one of the teams looking at him under McD. Not sure if things will have changed under Adkins though.

From 20 Feb
Keep an eye out for Luke Murphy from Crewe.

Also, don't be surprised if we keep Shorey in the summer. Cheap backup option.

[and yeah, I deleted my RR account.. it's more cliquey and elitist there than HNA?]

Plus the bloke that set it up is a bit of a dick

Gone to Leeds by the looks of things. Good signing. McDermott wanted him here last January..

Very understated signing. Some idiot Reading fans laughing at Leeds, yet that boy is one of the best midfielders outside the top flight! Great bit of business.

Yep, as stated in GF, very decent signing for Leeds that.

Surprised there haven't been more clubs interested at £1m. Makes McD look a little silly after his comments about having no money last week though.

Maybe his comments last week opened a bit more money up

Unlikely. This deal has been in the pipeline for a few weeks, or certainly Leeds fans had been hearing whispers and knew it was coming.

RR, cliquey and elitist? RR is many things, but not cliquey, and definitely not elitist. But hey, we all have our opinions about certain sites

As for Luke Murphy, he'd be decent but not really better than what we've got, there are better creative players out there we should be looking at.

Yep a ball playing midfielder. Should be great in a MCD team. Hope he has strong neck muscles the amount of times the ball will fly over his head.
