Gylfi has an affinity for the whole club in general, not just McDermott. I'm not saying that means he's coming, just that McDermott isn't the only thing linking him here.

I am not sure whether he would come here, but I would say we have more chance than Leeds. The question mark about their costings, and the noises coming out about sell to buy (apart from Sam Byram, who is there?) certainly make you question who they are a position to sign at the moment. This would have to be a loan that is completely gratis, no loan fee and Spurs presumably picking up a large percentage of his wages. I just can't see Spurs buying that, even if they wanted to loan him out. My money would be another PL club enquiring if he was available. Leeds at the moment seem to be a similar position to where we were when he left, would he want to go backwards to that, at a time he should be looking to develop more?

Rodgers has so far used Coutinho as part of the front three with Suarez and Sturridge.

Sigurdsson would probably fit in as the most attacking of the central midfielders, with Lucas and Gerrard/Henderson/Allen backing him up.
