Rumour - Jobi to Leeds or Wigan

Leeds United manager Brian McDermott says he hasn`t enquired about Reading midfielder Jobi McAnuff.

McAnuff has been linked with a re-union with his former Reading boss this week but when asked at his press conference ahead of the game with Chesterfield McDermott said it was the first he had heard about it.

"I didn`t know I had been linked with Jobi.

"Jobi is a very good friend of mine and he was my captain when Reading won the league.

"He is a great man but it is a first for me to hear this rumour."

McAnuff came off the bench for Reading in their season opener with Ipswich Town on Saturday, playing the last eleven minutes of the game.
