Would be a silly move for him if true. They already have Jose Enrique, who was injured for most of the season which led to Jon Flanagan coming through so it would appear LB is out. So if he wanted to play in his preferred position of midfield he would have to displace Henderson, Coutinho, Gerrard or Sterling, and I just can't see that happening either.

Not just Liverpool interested according to The Mirror, apparently Arsenal could be in the mix

Rumours are that Everton and Manchester United are also interested. Come on Samrit, tell them all where to go. (On Facebook preferably)

Mirror say both Liverpool and Arsenal are interested as "one for the future"

Liverpool Echo says Jose Enrique is back in full training

Obita wont go in this window. He's on a long contract, will need a big big fee, we have no left-back without him, and McAnuff last left leaving us light on the left wing as well (Obita's natural position). There's too much to do to fill those positions as it is.

Liverpool: How about £10 million for Obita
Reading: No thanks, we're a bit short on the left and haven't yet understood the concept of using transfer fees to purchase replacements
Liverpool: Fair enough then we'll let it drop.

Against my normal inclination I think I'll help out Sparta here by pointing out he said it'll take a big big fee. I think we can safely say £10m would get any 2 of our players let alone just Obita.

@John__Percy: #lfc are considering a bid for Swansea left-back Ben Davies after making an inquiry this week. #thfc also remain interested
