I think he meant 'Kebe injury syndrome' as in fake an injury so you don't have to play, so you can get a move somewhere else.

I heard from a source that this was not sinister, it was just someone who mentally genuinely didn't feel they were right physically... - or at least took more convincing

kwik-silva Letting Pog go, in my opinion, is one of the biggest mistakes we could make right now. Yes, we got lucky against Middlesbrough but look at the result against Forest without him in the team. I have no doubt that with Pog up front to hold up play and bring other players in we could've got either a goal or two, or stopped it from being quite such a hammering. The big man's been outstanding at the beginning of this season, and he's the only player in the squad who can play in that lone striker role properly.

Also, he played 41 games last season - but I guess you're comparing him with Kebe, who played an average of 37 games a season with us.

Pedant on/

Kebe made 149 league starts and 26 sub apps in 6 seasons, 07/08 to 12/13 inclusive), so 25 starts + 4 subs roughly on average per season.

/Pedant off

Sorry, I think I rewrote this but failed to include the fact I was only including full seasons (i.e. Excluding 07/08). I also was including all competitions.
