If Federici leaves Hamer wouldn't be the worst choice for us he has looked solid at Leicester when he has played??

Carson maybe al habsi is getting towards the end of his run as a top rate keeper at 33 unless he is something very special and we don't already no about it. I don't think carson is really much better than what we have either. I don't think any of the three relegated clubs have the answer really there...... id rather audaciously try to get anders lindegaard from united . He is out of favour and he wants first team football...... if he doesn't want to go abroad he may be a master stroke.

Darren Randolph at Birmingham is out of contract this summer. Could do a lot worse than him. Would also be happy with Hamer. Stuart Taylor is out of contract again this year too. Decent back up.

I think Green is out of contract this summer as well at QPR, so perhaps that helped to pursaude McCarthy to go there.

Lindegaard? Are you living in dreamland?

He must be on about £30-40k a week fgs. Plus he's proved to be a more than capable premier league goalkeeper when he's played. He'll have plenty of clubs after him in the summer.

There really is some right rubbish on this place at the moment.

TBM
Coppelled_Streets The club needed to sell and he wanted to go.

But he must have been promised 1st team football there, seems strange his one and only appearance for them was when Green was injured. Why would you (especially being a goalkeeper) join a team to sit on their bench - he would have been better off going to a top end Championship team
He obviously thought he was good enough to get the number 1 jersey and maybe Harry Redknap had plans for him. I imagine the wages were higher at QPR.

Wasn't Green signed after McCarthy?

No, it was close though. They signed Green, then two years later they signed McCarthy.

Never really knew of the Liverpool link. Was that a real viable option for him then?

If so, massive regret as there would of been an opportunity.

Rob Green will leave QPR this summer, so McCarthy should get his chance there next season

He started today and had a horror show. Leicester slipped 5 past him. Can't be great for his confidence as he must have hoped to make a point.
( Hats off to Leicester btw; their late surge has been quite remarkable as they looked dead and buried at Christmas did they not )

Bit of a howler for the first goal. The others I'd say it was hard to blame him for, although I'm sure sandman will find a way.

Yep. Quite strong rumours he might go to Chelsea as back up should Cech leave.
