Pretty average. He wouldn't improve us i don't think and against championship teams he would get caught out. For a big lad he didn't really win much in the air which was disappointing (least with Cooper he wins a lot in the air). Would be surprised if we took him on, but we desperately need another center back so hopefully there's something in the Smith deal.

Makes total sense to give Dickie a chance if he has looked every bit as good. Although I'm hoping we are in the market for another CB, as others have suggested lets hope our attention now turns to someone like Tommy Smith.

He did look good in the highlights reel on YouTube but of course playing a different style of football in another country may not suit him.

It sounds like Dickie has impressed Jaap and others in pre-season so far. He looks good physically and played a full season down in the National League, coming through unscathed and probably much harder. That kind of experience would do him the world of good and will only help us out.

I'd be pretty happy with McShane and Cooper, with Dicke and big Danz as the back-ups.

Don't get the Rob Dickie hype. Was very average at Boreham Wood a couple of weeks ago and got skinned a couple of times & then on Tuesday night gave the ball away a fair amount and also lost his man a few times. I know he's young and the potential is there but i don't think he's ready yet for the Championship even if it was just on the bench. Think we desperately need another center back before the start of the season.
