I don't think you can count Obita as a winger anymore, and I doubt Barrett is seen as a winger either.

I don't think you can count Obita as a winger anymore, and I doubt Barrett is seen as a winger either.

Barrett seems to have been playing out wide left for the Academy, so I don't really agree with that. Obita's not first and foremost a winger by any stretch, but then we don't need 5 except for emergencies. Clearly Fosu and Stacey aren't in immediate first team plans, but that's the point, we've got about 8 players on the books who could reasonably play on the wing to greater or lesser degress of emergency cover. We don't need more. It would be mental to bring in another winger with McCleary on form, Beerens doing ok, Harriott covering ok and Meite just back from injury. Especially when three of them are new signings.

If we're going to sign players, they need to be where we're short, or where quality is lacking. So upfront basically.
