Rumour - Ronan Hale (striker)

by morganb » 15 May 2025 19:28

Wigan, Luton and Reading are among a number of chasing Ross County hit-man Ronan Hale. Hale, 26, scored his 15th goal of the season with a crucial equaliser against Dundee on Wednesday night to keep alive Ross County's hopes of staying up.

Has an impressive goalscoring record 65 (17 goals) for Larne, 62 (32 goals) for Cliftonville and now at Ross County and scoring goals and guess what? The guy is Irish!!!! Sign him up, our record with Irish forwards ain't to shabby :D :D :D :D :D
On a serious note, exactly the type of player we should be looking at.

Scoring 15 goals for a relegation fodder side in the Scottish Prem is definitely a good return.

I love the misery of following Reading under the previous owner.

On 9 July 2024, Hale signed for Scottish Premiership club Ross County on a three-year contract.

So we would have to pay for him. Couhig's interview yesterday was suggesting we will be mainly in the free market with a couple of paid for signings if we have too. depends on how much they want for him. maybe we could stretch to a couple of hundred thousand. Transfer market has him at €600k euros. How accurate their player valuations are i don't know.

Also he is 5 ft 7. i would prefer a big man who can win a header or two. Wareham is a short arse, and Wifi is better as a wide man.

Who knows? We don't know the full terms of his contract, he may have some clauses related to relegation.

Hale is a decent little forward but I'd take Sam Dalby who was at Dundee Utd on loan and has now left Wrexham on a free after turning down a new contract. 14 goals this season. Dundee Utd are favourites to sign him permanently though
