traff Would rather him than Meite.

Me too. He always looked like a very good player against us. He's also a southern lad and not very far from his roots. He could well be tempted here.

Good memory! He started a couple of games against us for Blackpool 3 years ago!

Has had £4m in transfer fees spent on him so far, therefore must have something about him.

Doesn’t that just make him a cheaper version of Aluko ?

I’ve been told this is done. It’s a permanent deal. And we are paying somewhere in the region of £400k

Hmm very interesting if true. That’s a fair bit of money

Would certainly like him at the club though

Would be delighted. And after Wareham, Craig and possibly Ehibhatiomhan, a statement of intent that we'll get our wallet out for quality. Just not mediocrity.

Only Aberdeen (£75k) had ever spent a transfer fee on Aluko before we spaffed £7m on him.

Not defending Aluko but Rangers paid compo for him when he moved from Aberdeen and he left Rangers when they imploded and transferred his contract to the new club without his knowledge. He ended up taking them to court.

Bowler looks a decent signing and £400k is a good deal for a 26 year old who has spent his whole career playing at a higher level.

I'd never heard of him until a couple of weeks ago, but you all seem to rate him, so that's good enough for me x

How are we going to afford his wages? He must be on decent salary at Forest as they signed him in the Prem?

Depends what the budget strategy is - it may be that, given the American influence, its a 'high/low' strategy whereby a small number of 'marquee players' get higher than average deals and the mix of lower than average deals then fits the overall budget framework....

Don't forget Lewis & Joel signed fairly rapidly and they can't be too cheap for L1...

I'd also suggest that given he's not played a game for forest in 3 years and has spent the entire time out on loan, he's not on Premier League wages.
