TBM The only reason McD [as manager] "works" for Reading is cos he knows the club, he knows the players.........if he goes to Wolves then i dont reckon their over-paid charlies will work for him as hard as our lot do (bar Doyle). McCarthy seemed a good manager so i cant understand why they would sack him and bring in an unknown manager who loves to play hoof-ball and failed at managing in non-league with Slough and Woking

McD picked up where Coppell left, Rodgers tried changing us - it didn't work so McD took us back to the "Coppell way"
Actually I think one of McD's strengths is that e weighs up what he's got to work with and plays to their strengths as opposed to favouring an individual style of play. We certainly didn't play hoofball when we had Siggurdsson in the side. It just wasn't the possession for possession's sake style under Rodgers.
