Saw Norwich play at Forest last season and Morgan was Forest's best player on the day.

Like his defending ability? That would be novel.

Isaac Hunt This story could of course originate from his agent as part of the negotiation to an improved deal at Forest.

Following McDermott's comments on the OS though, both players we're supposedly interested in are currently with clubs, so it might be possible .... **(does that also rule out the McFadden & Gardner deal rumours then?!)

**EDIT: mentioned on McFadden thread. Morgan would tick the 'experienced' box though.

Gardner ruled out because he has signed for Palace, thank goodness.

Would love this, he is an excellent defender and one that could make the step up.

I remember the opening day draw against Forest 3(?) seasons ago... We kept the hoof ball going and wasn't going to win anything all afternoon against him. He is a rock at the back!

TBf I don't think Ronaldo would be happy sitting on the bench waiting for Kebe to get injured...

Would be a fantastic signing IMO but i just can't see it happening. Firstly i'm sure if Mills is worth £5.5mil to a Championship side, Nottm Forest will want circa £1mil for Morgan at the very least. That and the fact he is a proper Nottingham lad, as a kid supported Forest and had trials at County where they said he weren't good enough yet Forest invested in him and i'm sure he feels he owes the club a lot.

He supports them, one of their longest servers (perhaps the longest server currently) in their team and has lived in the town all his life. We're hardly going to be offering him impossible to turn down wages, even if we did agree a fee with Forest (which i personally believe in itself is upon the realms of impossible on our shoestring budget)

Wes Morgan

by LoyalRoyal22 » 31 Dec 2011 12:14

The Nottingham Forest centre half linked with us for £400k. I live locally, a local rumour, we was also linked with him in the summer. Why so cheap? Contract up in the summer and Forest badly need some funds. I would be delighted with this if true, although Kasper and Pearce been immense recently, everytime i seen Wes i been impressed.

Happy with what we have as first choice and can't see Morgan coming as a bench warmer.
