ZacNaloen And he got 10 the year before, his issue is confidence and he isn't going to get that sat on the bench 3rd choice.

Ideal He should go to a lower level, somewhere like Exeter or Aldershot, something like that, where he can learn to just score regularly.
Problem is, he probably wouldn't be any closer to goal if he went there either! The words barn and door come to mind.

we've done that with him and he still didn't score. everyone commented here and elsewhere that his movement is second to none but he just can't finish. perhaps he's better suited to midfield, or stacking shelves.

Trouble is, once you've given Church & ALF a couple of games together, then Church & Hunt a couple of games together, then Church & Manset a couple of games together, then Hunt & ALF a couple of games together, then Hunt & Manset a couple of games together, then ALF & Manset a couple of games together you find out that you're over a quarter of the way through the season and still don't know your best attacking combination.

Mr AngryBarry the bird boggler If true a great move for club and player, let's hope he gets plenty of game time up there. Loan to January would also be good.
I disagree - from his point of view thats a terrible move; he would be better suited staying at RFC and fighting for his place. At this stage of his career, being loaned down to League 1 is a sign that the best of your career is behind you.

Very true. Personally I think Brian has to look in training at who seems to work best with ALF, and then give that combo a good run of at least 8/9 games.
I'd go with Manset, but I'll be suprised if he doesn't go with Hunt.

RobRoyal If I had to choose one of our forwards to have an impact coming off the bench it would be Manset, so there's something to be said for the Hunt/ Alf partnership I suppose. And one of these days I'm going to figure out exactly what it is that Noel Hunt does.
