boyd is a great example of how second rate scottish football really is. he's a top league 1 player at best.

I agree scottish football is second rate, but I believe he will get goals in the championship.

I wouldn't take see him fitting in here, but he's capable of scoring goals.

Someone at the Daily Star has presumably been reading this thread as they're running this minor story....

"WIGAN, Reading and Leeds are eyeing Kris Boyd. The Scotland striker is a free agent after terminating his contract at Turkish side Eskisehirspor and also attracting interest from clubs in MLS, Qatar and China."

Its not all about goals per game. For Rangers, Scotland, Boro and Forest goals per game was fine. Excellent at Rangers.

But he literally does nothing else. You play with 10 men. The most extreme example of being a finisher and nothing else. He is the SPLs all time top scorer yet was often benched. Given another striker you could play instead should be getting at least 10 goals anyway then you would want a 1 in 1 record to keep playing him. This is how he started off his "style" of play at Killie and Rangers. Without 46 a seasons, hes not worth it.
