I think it was mentioned in the build up to the Pompy game how much him and Brian still talk so wouldn't rule this out but at the same time he's so so off form at the moment and would the hunger really be there?

However as others have said, in Brian we trust! if it's good enough for him it's good enough for me.

I think from big Dave's point of view he might see RFC as unfinished business getting us back up after his loan spell last time, that might be the extra motivation needed to get a little extra out of him. After being with the Pikies for a year or so now he is probably more likely to accept a bit part role with us until the end of the season at least.

I'd be surprised if he came to us as, at the moment, we don't need another striker, especially not one with as poor a recent scoring record at this level as Dave; he would be welcomed back obviously, but only for sentimental rather than footballing reasons.

Kitson is desperate to come. Though I guess anyone who hadn't been paid since Christmas would be.

Actually, please, please don't.

I want to remember Kits as the best striker we've ever had (my opinion, obviously). His first return was a let down. This could be the destruction of a legend.

Brighton were sniffing around at the end of the January but were priced out.

The board won't sanction a move! They pretty much hate his guts

Why do they hate his guts?

If this happens then it will be after Tuesdays game. It's as back up for Hunt if he gets an injury.

Surely if Brian wants, Brian gets? TSI will support him 100%, especially when it's a loan and cheap. I can't see that the 'old' board members will have much sway in any signing.

Don't worry, think this is a non-starter. Portsmouth think that only Varney and Pearce are possible leavers before the window shuts and if we'd wanted Kitson I'm sure we'd have done the deal at the same time as getting Mullins rather than going back a week later.

He was a bad influence in the dressing room.
