Chamakh might be a goer, then there's Piazon from Chelsea and is Dos Santos getting any action at Spurs?

The guy who said we're after an Arsenal reserve player is actually generally very reliable and I can't see why he'd make something like this up. Kind of suggests it's Afobe as well, would be very happy with that if Roberts is out for a while.

Hopefully it is lukaku that will give us a great chance to go up!

Heard a rumour it's Delfonso from Villa.

Was promising at one stage however hasn't ever done much. Probably wont happen anyway!

Someone who played for the arsenal reserves yesterday, assuming we are after a striker for Roberts then that would be afobe ..

Just for back from a one month loan at Leicester who didn't bother trying to get him for a second month.

Cobi
Samrfc01 He's right quite alot of the time.

Lukaku may be slightly un-realistic. But an Arsenal res forward is slightly less so. Is Carlos Vela still there?

Yeah give FL his due, he's more reliable than most on here but it sounds like specualation at the moment and nothing more. If he says he knows we're talking to someone then I'll get a little more excited.

Any news on Roberts hamstring yet? Bad bad timing. :|

no contact had been made with chelsea about anyone when i asked at lunch time. the rumours of us being interested in an arsenal player wont go away but i've got nothing i would say is reliable on it. it certainly does sound like we are looking for a temp replacement for roberts if his hamstring is worse than first thought.

I thought Lukaku couldn't be loaned out anyway because he's already played for Chelsea and Anderlecht this season, or have I got the rule wrong?

i'm not sure, but we haven't approached chelsea about anyone either way. this one could have been born out of the rumours about mellis. everyone is speculating their club is in for him. one chelsea youngster gets talked about and then another..

have to say though, if we do lose roberts with injury i don't fancy our chances with hunt and church/le fondre.

the player we're after is Afobe.
