Because he had such a good end to the season I think people forget how average he was at the beginning. Would have liked to sign him permanently, but never going to happen on those wages.

For the record, there's no way I'd say he was worth £20k a week.

One has to say that if QPR are prepared to pay crazy wages from their everlasting money tree to get him that a/ good luck to him and b/ we were right to say no. He played well in the second half of the season but I really don't think we should offer a player like him more than 5-7K a week.

I am totally annoyed we could not get him back but he is replaceable. I will clap him every time he lines up against us in the future.

Amusing to read that Jamie Mackie has revealed wearing Reading's blue and white hoops home kit last season "didn't feel quite right.", lucky he didn't come back here then, and cocked off to QPR, likely to have been happy if we had offered him a big bucks contract to come back to the Mad Stad, shove it son !

looking at who we are buying and in for, I don't think he is a huge loose. He is always going to be a fan fav as he runs and runs and give 100%, but he's limited.

I read that as a huge moose. Either way, fair point.
