I am a bit confused too, are you saying that 6% of rumours so far have turned into purchases? Otherwise, surely Mariappa at least should be a yes as there seems to be numerous accounts we are/were in for him, from both their side and ours.

Crikey, I never realised that approx 95% of all speculation/rumour posted over the course of a transfer window was likely to be utter cobblers

Could we have it in graph format just to be sure?

This list would be the poorer without you, Snowbers.

A two-dimensional graph would be pointless though, beacue it wouldn't differentiate between a prediction of a move a day before it happens or a day before it. So we'd need a 3D graph showing time of prediction also.

He's almost the classic case, yes.

Sssssshhhhhhh. I made a similar observation about a post of his about 6 months ago. He threw a hissy fit and went on a 3 day stat frenzy to prove he wasn't, which, on reflection, kind of made my point for me far more emphatically than I ever could.

Best say no more, it's like a red rag to a bull.

I am sort of with Snowball.

There is always a lot of rubbish speculation each season but this summer, because of our rise to the PL, it has reached epidemic proportions. Most of the rumours have been beyond ridiculous.

The only player that I really wanted was Gylfi (but that will never happen now) and apart from that in Brian I trust. I am sure that come 1st Sept we will have a new RB, a new LB, one or possibly two new CB's, probably another midfielder and possibly another striker. We might even have a new bench warmer keeper to allow the youngsters out on loan.

After being sucked into the Gylfi debacle I am not too bothered now.

Utter lol at coming onto a rumours and gossip forum and expecting a high hit rate

However it's a bit premature to be saying we won't sign any of the guys listed given that there's two months left in the window.....

Alexander Litvinenko Ah yes, on Planet Snowball, anyone who dares question anything Snowball says is a tosser.

It's tedious as hell trying to argue anything with someone so far down the autistic spectrum as he is, so for that reason I'm out.

Please carry on boring the hell out of everyone else with endless pointless information that is either statistically invalid or states the bleeding obvious at great length.

And while you congratulate yourself on how clever you are and how you've outwitted everyone else, all the others will continue to shake their heads in disbelief, laugh at you behind their hands and despair at this inevitable end result of the care in the community programme.

This post made my day.

Extraordinary stuff from Snowball, however, my brain is still trying to engage itself to the point where it can make any sense of it whatsoever. I used to work with a guy who had a spreadsheet that featured every Real Ale he had ever drunk, its cost, percentage, colour (dark or light) brewery and what pub he drank it in. Something like this:

Directors
£2.80
5%
Dark
Courage, Reading
The Crown
7/10

If he hasn't been sectioned under the mental health act yet, do you want his phone number Snowball? A match made in Heaven one thinks.

Did he factor in inflation to provide a present value of all beers drunk in previous years? If not, it's rather amateur.

He may have done, I am just recalling what I saw before for I drifted in to a coma.

I had a mate that did something similar but more usefully purchased a home breathalyser and checked whether it came up positive after 2, 3 (or one occasion 4) pints of various ales.
