Brogue So a question for the more fiscally minded people.
We are in debt about 100mill isn’t it ? But that money is owed to dai, yes?
If a prospective buyer were interested, they would have to buy that debt from dai, yes? Assuming that dai want his money back that is, I imagine he will. Obviously.
So it will be the debt + the value of the club what ever that may be.
What dangers could there be with this? Could the potential new owner structure the debt in a way that could be worse for the club.
How does all this work?

One8Seven1* I'm lost with where we are with the debt now, but someone recently suggested £200m.
Whatever the debt, they would then need to either lease or buy the Stadium and Training Ground back as well. That doesn't always work out well.

Odds of a rich middle eastern buyer without links to corruption and human rights abuses? Slim.
Ffs.
Funded by dodgy earth destroying oil money hardly cheers me up either.

36% of all crude oil came from OPEC countries in 2015, probably risen since then. Do people protest? Did people protest gas and oil from Russia before the Ukraine War? No.
People don't care as long as they're not told to care. If we get new owners who behead an innocent person a day just to take a bath, people will only care if it gets in the news and someone makes an issue of it.

No, most people would only care if the team is losing. Look at Newcastle at the mo, their fans are loving life and I doubt 99% care less where the money us coming from as they are winning games and have better players than ever before.

Hound Not sure on this really. You’d hope Dai has learnt some lessons in his time. In terms of a new owner being an improvement - who knows.
Not jumping up for joy at the thought of an owner from the Middle East either - can’t see how it’d be significantly better than Dai
Would rather Dai hung about, kept funding the debts we have and left Bowen to get on with things
