You say that as if it isn't part of Madejski's grand plan....
This story refers only to a loan deal. There is absolutely no chance of that happening, because there's no obligation on our part and no incentive for us to do it.

Why not? They would pay his wages at the very least.

All depends on the player as well. I've no idea but it could be the same situation as with Fae. If the player wants out and has the potential to disrupt morale if he sticks around then even a loan deal would be preferable to paying him to cause trouble.

Oh come on. If we were that desperate to move him on we would try to get a fee for him. I don't think it would be that difficult. Then another club would be paying his wages. There's no value in loaning him out.

Royal Lady "Sparta is one of the alternatives we have discussed with Marek" says his agent.
Fook me. Why would you discuss alternatives? Unless you'd been left in no doubt that, even when fully fit, you weren't going to figure in BR's plans.
It's an absolute disgrace - we're getting rid of everyone. NHunt will be next.

Why?
Because, like a lot of our other players that have left, Matejovsky joined Reading as a Premiership club and wants to play at the highest level possible. He stuck around after relegation but is now half way through his contract and won't be wanting to play Championship football, on Championship pay, regardless of his international prospects.
Agree that we can't afford to be letting all these players go without suitable replacements, but at the same time you have to expect players to be looking around and weighing up their options.

I think the answer you are looking for is: Money. One Beer is never enough. No player is bigger than the club. Unfortunately a club needs players. WTF is going on? Build brick by brick, then hire a paddy with a heavyball to knock the oxf*rd thing down.
Seriously getting worried about the lack of movement into our club, and can't help but wonder why.

H-Town Royal Sky Sports -
Sparta Prague may attempt a loan bid for Reading midfielder Marek Matejovsky if they manage to qualify for the Europa League group stage.
The Czech club have been hit by the news that Patrik Berger will be ruled out until the New Year and are lining up Matejovsky as a temporary replacement.
The 27-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Madejski Stadium and could return to his home country to help Sparta with their heavy European schedule.
Metejovsky's agent, Pavel Zika, says that Sparta will be the best option for his client if they successfully qualify for the group stages.
"Yes, Sparta is one of the alternatives we have discussed with Marek," he told deniksport.cz.
"It all depends on how Sparta end up. If they qualify for the group stage, then I will be personally recommending Sparta to Marek, even despite the fact that there is interest in him from Italy and Germany.
"The reason for this is that with Sparta he would have a chance to play regularly in the Europa League as well and could get back to playing for the national team."
How the F' do you fall out of favor when you never get in the game...... Is he lazy?
He has top fight talent & we refuse to play him. Rodgers can piss off with his fat head.

Focher brace yourself
Thaumagurist* Did you notice the word "attempt"? He's not gone yet.
Why the f@(k is this on the team board? Didn't you notice that there was already a thread about Marek Matejovsky on the UR&G forum?
