sandman Oh sorry, I thought that when a player refused to play it was always the managers fault. At least that's the excuse Guthrie got.

kwik-silva Wouldn't mind him back on a short term loan, so he can destroy his legacy

Why do supporters like to dis our past good players? He always said he loved being at Reading
Apart from when he refused to play and forced a move away, you mean?
That was the fault of the manager not Kebe.

From Despair To Where? That's why i said IF the rumour is true. I don't believe it myself. It was more a response to the poster who used it was a stick to beat Adkins with.
My recollection of events in general was that he was out injured before McDermott was sacked and then in the summer we received an offer from Palace that really was too good to turn down.
There was some talk about him refusing to play at Peterborough but if the move was on the cards already, Palace wouldn't have wanted him cup tied.

paddy20 Sorry Mates you have got it wrong. He never refused to play. He liked NA. He got offered a return to the premiership which at the age of 29 was too good to miss. He loved being at Reading. Facts!

From Despair To Where? I'll take your word for it, I was on holiday with no internet access at the time but was aware of only the bare details of us getting stuffed at Peterborough then selling Kebe within a couple of days.
I'm only putting across a potential scenario of the interest from Palace being known at the time and there being some discussion as to Kebe not being cup tied. The club tends to keep transfers in and out close to their chest so is not going to come out and say a player isn't available because it might jeopardise a transfer.
If he did refuse to play then the past 12 months have been somewhat karmic.
