paultheroyalLibertine I will say this again...if SJM and the new pending owner let McDermott walk away at this point in the season, and jeopardizing it, with us sitting in 3rd with a very good shot at automatic promotion...I will take a much dimmer view of our potential future with the new owner.
I don't care who they get in, even Fergie, trying to get a new gaffer in at this point of the season will probably be disasterous. Trying to change the style of play, getting to know the personnel, etc. I will be really pissed if this goes down when we currently sit in 3rd place in the table. It would be amateur hour.
+1
TBMmuddyfeet Maybe he wants more stability than a rolling one yr contract
Exactly - he has already admitted not knowing what the new owners have planned - for all we know they may have someone else lined up

Wimb Sir Steve is available and would be the right man for the job again.

There are very few events that would see me elect not to renew my season ticket but this would certainly suffice.
Fortunately, there's more chance of hell freezing over than our new owner engaging someone who dumped us where we are whilst leaving millions of his budget unspent.

So the main who led us to 4 of our top 5 finishes in our history is a bad pick for the job?
