Danny Guthrie holds talks with Brian McDermott over Reading axe
The summer signing midfielder was not selected by boss Brian McDermott for last weekend's 3-3 draw with Fulham and is now not certain to be involved in Sunday's Premier League basement battle at Queens Park Rangers.
Guthrie has discussed the subject with his manager but has also reportedly snubbed a loan move to Nottingham Forest, as he remains fully committed to Reading.
He said in the Daily Mirror: "I spoke to the manager and he had his reasons for not picking me and that remains between us - there was no bust-up.
"It is frustrating, because I want to help this team. I just have to work hard for now and make sure I am ready and fully prepared when I am needed."

Basildon I really dont rate Guthrie. I would rather have Mcanuff playing just off the striker(s), with Robson Kanu on the left and Kebe on the right, and Ledge holding in midfield.

Except Kebe is oxf*rd terrible, whilst McCleary actually has an end product.

melonhead i think the stats prove that mcleary has made more crosses(30 odd), and more of them have reached one of our players(4)
and kebe has made 14, and 1 has reached a player
is still take kebe every time, but then thats because im in love with him

Kebe has a tendency to decide it's time to cross and then hit it at the angle he thinks would be best if it reached the box, not bothered in the slightest that there's a defender standing directly infront of him right in the path he wants to kick.
Still, he does what he wants.
He's seemed a bit more hesitant to really open up and take players on this season. Possibly after giving the ball away when trying to that resulted in that goal a few games back.
