For all the signings in January, McDermott’s signature should have been top of the list. Easy to say with hindsight, I guess.

Unless it wasn't top of TSI's list; or, having talked "football" to 1 am in the morning , McD didn't want to commit to the new Messiah after realising he may wish to influence team selection rather too heavily

But TSI don't own the club yet. We all got caught up in the signings of Kebe, Roberts, Cwyka, but perhaps we all lost sight of the man who has kept us in and around the playoffs all season? Madejski/Hammond could still have made that happen. You cannot blame TSI if he goes, when the club has been happy to keep McDermott on a rolling contract. A contract that would probably mean we'd get little to no compensation for him.

Most people are cautiously optimistic about TSI, by the way and are getting too carried away.

not yet m8, he's a bit shafted really as the lease has fallen to 72 years, the mortgage companies won't touch it with a barge pole.
