melonhead in a previous life, i used henrys proffesionally, and we never even used the bags, just straight into the open interior, which we cleaned with bleach every now and then.

I had one too and it was crap. Replaces with a Sebo, lasted 12 years. Went out and bought same model again. German engineering you see

Ha just read back some comments! Didn't realise it was in this thread and saw this whole thing as a strange coincidence! I thought that your original comment was "gay son" rather than "dyson". I was confused to say the least. I recommend Miele for the record. The bags can be expensive to replace but the suction and overall functionality is worth it guys. My mother has had one since the dawn of time. No problems.
