CholseyRoyal
CountryRoyal The one that looks like Earnshaw is actually Jonathan Biabany from Parma. Not sure if we got the deal through in time before the midnight deadline (we had an extension).

Isn't the extension 1am?

The extension is 1am for domestic transfers, midnight for internationals.

No Fixed Abode I'm hearing Sissoko on loan and David McGoldrick.

excuse me I think I've just wet myself with the excitement of watching those 2 players get us promoted with The Pog & Blackman terrorising the Championship with their lightning quick pace and scoring goals for fun!!!

Its the Reading Way of course to come out of the transfer window with a weaker squad than you went in with!!
Thoroughly pissed off.

Nothing is official yet and I'm guessing the club will update us at some point today. Who knows

The club really should have sent an update early evening if we were trying to close a couple of deals, they usually do. It's just comical that they think they are keeping their cards close to their chest, then continue negotiations with the blinds ajar in a ground floor hotel room

The fact that a statememt from the club at 23:01 saying 'The manager confirms that he is happy with the 3 new signings made at the beginning of the transfer window' DIDN'T mateialise implies that the media bloke has some good news for us today.

They're hardly going to bury bad news at 10.00am

Expect a twitter feed and OS overload at some point today.

Morning all...

Is it just me or is every other Reading fan pissed off with the lack of yesterday's activity?! Furthermore, why did we wait until the last day? It's been clear for weeks/months that we're in need of a prolific striker yet all the targets we had end up at our main title challenger ( QPR ) Nice work Adkins/Hammond!

P.S. And before you all start saying f*** off newbie, yes I'm new to here but we've all got to start somewhere!

People are forgetting that we can still sign players on loan and those who are free agents

It's stupid but sometimes players just don't become available until the final day.

True... Well lets hope we do add some more as frankly the squad we've got, in my opinion, isn't strong enough.

As for selling Mariappa- WTF?! Far better than Pearce, who seems to only have an eye for passing BACKWARDS!

No its not just you. And of course the doomsters AND the Pollyannas will pile in...
But I have stated my belief on another thread.
It suits some powerful agenda for us to stay just where we are, carefully avoiding any future promotion.

We'll see.
