With the number one shirt now vacant at Villa attention is also turning to Friedel's possible replacement.
Talking from Australia whilst on international duty, Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici raised his hand for a possible move in to the Premier League after a disappointing Championship play-off final loss to Swansea iced his plans.
'It (the play-off) was a great experience for myself and a hard one to take, obviously, but I'm looking forward to the future.' Federici said on Friday.
