Tranmere have rejected offers from two Championship clubs for left back Aaron Cresswell. Although Cresswell, 21, is out of contract and turned down Rovers’ offer of a new deal, tying up a move is not a straightforward issue for players aged 24 and under.

Cresswell established himself as Tranmere’s first-choice left-back this season by improving his defensive skills and developing the ability to deliver dangerous free kicks and corners into the opposition penalty area.
