Strong Rumour - Halliche

by Gus the teenage cow » 19 Aug 2011 13:21

I got a text from a family member of Brian Mc who usually never tells me anything when I am bugging him but this morning I checked my phone and last night at 4am he texted me that we are in for halliche, it's up to the player now................so i check up on this halliche lad, 24 years old, algerian international, centreback, plays for fulham but has hardly had a game for them since he joined a year ago, a bit underwhelmed by this to be honest although i do remember the algerian defense shut england out at the world cup and i believe he may have played in that game, it'll be a free transfer if we get him but again wages are the issue - watch this space

Sounds like a typical Reading signing so there might be something in it. If he isn't playing for Fulham then I can't see why a drop into the Championship wouldn't be appealing. Wages shouldn't be a problem either and he doesn't really need to move house either.

More speculation than a strong rumour, this one. Yes he looks to be leaving but there's nothing but a "my mums, dogs dad's, brother" story on this claim. Championship i'm sure would be a strong possibility and perhaps he fits into the sort of player RFC would be interested in but i dont see this one as a 'strong rumour' in the slightest i'm afraid.

martin jol seems to rate him, it just seems he's been injured and the club has moved on around him with new players coming in and improving the squad. i'd be very pleased with this signing, and it could be the "work in progress" mcdermott was talking about in the paper today that we're currently in talks with.
