Brighton & Hove Albion are set to seal the signing of non-league starlet Ben Dickensen.
Sky Sports revealed last month that the Dorchester striker was attracting interest from a number of Championship clubs.
Now Brighton are locked in talks with Dorchester and the player, and are ready to finalise a deal worth around £100,000.
Brighton have fended off interest from the likes of Burnley,Reading, Huddersfield and AFC Wimbledon to the 18-year-old.
Dorchester boss Alan Knight said: "Fingers crossed for him.
"It's a fantastic opportunity and whatever the figures are it will be very helpful to the club.
"Brighton are an up-and-coming club and it's a great place for him to learn his trade."
Dickensen's signing will be Gus Poyet's second raid on the non-league market this season after they landed Solly March from local side Lewes.
