There will be a lot of interested parties for his signature. He only went to Brighton to prove his fitness. I wouldn't be surprised to see a much bigger club than Reading get their hands on him, but would be over the moon if we did.

YES!

Elliott Forget CMS... one player I would love to see here from Brighton is Vicente!

Being based up in Nottingham, I watched him in the Forest-Brighton match on Saturday and he was a clear cut above the rest. I spent the match thinking he was just a crock who's finishing his career in England after 10+ years with Valencia (where he represented Spain 38 times, won 2 La Liga titles, as well as winning La Liga Spanish Player of the Year back in 2004), but looked him up when I got home and was amazed to find that he is still ONLY 30! HOW THE HELL DID BHA PICK HIM UP?!

If we were to go up, I would be overjoyed if we were to pick up a player of Vicente's quality, someone who would add a real touch of class to the team, and would probably cost less than £3m!

Sign him up please BMcD!

You all heard it here first 8)

I suspect a La Liga team would be favourites to get him for next season.

Indeed. Fulham are also interested as a possible replacement for Clint Dempsey. I expect he'll have his pick of clubs this summer.

If we get to speak to him then I would fancy our chances a bit more. He's a player that needs an arm around him and a bit of love. McDermott would be great for him. We'll just have to see what happens. Nicky Hammond will be a very busy man for the next few months, that's for sure!

I hate to say this, but I'd also imagine that we would pass on the opportunity to sign him (even if we were ever in the frame to do so) due to his chequered past injury-wise; we have a track record of not signing players who have any sort of doubt about them (Bradley Wright-Phillips being a prime example; yesterday was his 22nd goal of the season for Charlton....)

On the other hand we did sign Glen Little who would probably have played for England if not for injury. Maybe Vicente is good enough to justify the gamble.

IMO no chance of this happening, as mentioned earlier I'm sure others in Europe would be a more likely destination.

Judging by Brighton fans opinion of him, he would fit right in to the "Reading Way". Hard worker, little ego, loyal. On top of that he has talent - can completely see why we would be interested, as would many other clubs. You'd hope that he'd sign for a club that would treat him right (even if it's Brighton again), and I believe we could be that club.
