Rumour - Noel Hunt to Bristol City

Might be a good move for Hunt. Although I am surprised by the assumption that Church will partner Pog in the PL.

I seriously doubt it. Hunt is a good player and has earnt his chance at the PL.

This could happen next summer if we stay up. If we get another striker in, I think Hunt will be used as a sub to help us close out games when we're in the lead, similar to how church was used last season and Alf will come on if we need a goal.

It's stories like this that remind me that there is worse than Jonny Fordham around :D

On their forums (OTIB) some of the quotes are laughable at best.

We can do better than hunt IMO rather have le fondre

Also I would be happier with Baldock, Stead, Taylor, Pitman with no Noel Hunt

Friends at Reading say he is a bit part player, off the pace. Just what we need

Useless player; cant hit a barn door.

Yep. Get him off the wages. We've got enough clowns on the side lines. Time to get serious.

One thing you may not consider with players like Hunt is the influence they have in the dressing room. He is a massive character around Reading and letting him go would be hugely unpopular.

No matter what we as fans think of out players, not a single first teamer will be leaving us. The ITK knowledge is that bm values even the bummers.

yeh, well this hack should be sacked as he clearly knows NOTHING

Reading recently signed Russian centre-forward Pavel Pogrebnyak from Stuttgart and the former Zenit St Petersburg hit-man, who spent a successful loan spell with Fulham last season, is expected to partner Wales international Simon Church when the Royals commence their top flight campaign against Stoke on August 18.

hahahahahahaha, just proves that there is as much truth in this story as me winning the euromillions last night

I know that I can always depend upon the Cock-a-Spangler mongrel the show his true loyalty, to the players that got RFC back into the Premier. Hunt wasn't a clown then, and he isn't a clown now. If McD believes that Hunt has a part to play in the Team, then I for one will be backing him 100%.

You been taken out for your nightly crap yet Cock-a-Spangler?

Spot on! Keep Church ad Hunt, they are a big part of the squad and family that is Reading FC, as long as Brian is in charge we wont see anyone forced out.

Would much rather see Hunt and Church pull on the hoops every week and run themselves into the ground giving their all, than Ronaldo and Messi going out thinking about the pounds and f all else

You'd rather have Hunt and Church than Ronaldo and Messi
You may be in a rather small minority there, I think

I believe the team spirit at Reading is something that really sets us apart, I want players that want to try hard for the team and will do anything it takes (the only reason i actually like Matt Mills).

How many times has Ronaldo suffered a concussion for example?

Hunt and Church helped us get here, if they don't make at least 15 appearances each this season I will be very surprised.
