We can't agree a fee with Palace for Zaha, and it's a similar situation with Rhodes. On a free, though he has his injuries, it's got to be worth considering?

Uh, NO!!!! Have you not read my posts on other threads saying that we do not need a retired racehorse owner? There are many threads on this site and in exactly none of them have I ever suggested us employing Owen.
TheSiege Some of you may remember that none of our strikers actually covered themselves in glory last season on the scoring front. ALF did best and I'm looking forward to him getting more games this season. Roberts did well as a cameo but he is no spring chicken. All of our hopes seem to be resting on the Pog - who may get injured in the first match or not live up to his seeming promise with Fulham. Our mainstay last season was the defence and we have weaknesses there that will be severely tested in the Prem. I agree that 20-goal a season players are rare but, should we find one, please explain why we should'nt buy him - as half of this thread seem to be suggesting.
