Reading4eva Heard some more about this. Supposably we have someone out there talking to him. Maybe Nicky???

He was in Reading this afternoon. Maybe we sent no one. Just a thought.

Why is everyone writing Pog off for next year? Yes, in terms of goals he let us down last season. But he would rip up the chump, and obviously Anton isnt afraid to pay out big wages with the signings so far, so it's not as if we need to let him go.

I think he will be staying.

Yet another thread highjacked by the ongoing debate about The Pog and his abilities............just to add the the argument, not sure what (if any) games you watched last year when The Pog was playing but I'm more mobile than him and I've got a broken leg!!!
He was truly woeful and vastly overpaid for what he added to the team last season. True he may be more effective in the championship but very much doubt it!! Love to be proofed wrong but would have preferred if we'd kept Hunt as at least he showed commitment and could run and head the ball.

i dont doubt his abilities. im a huge fan of the pog, i just cant see him sticking around to be honest. if he sticks around then we will only need one striker and an AM and we will be a solid team.

Havenaar is a definite possibility, Beric and Gayle are the other likly options we could go for striker wise. All a risk though unfortunately.

With Hull showing interest in Hooper and, apparently, Austin I think we can forget signing either of them sadly as they wouldn't be a risk.

And, in any case, we've got the failure cash (AKA parachute payment) now. Hull wont get theirs for another 12 months!

Agree ...would be a gamble by Hull to field two untested players at Prem level...and neither will expect to be bench players ...

Marcus Gayle would be a quality signing. Is he not a bit old though?

The Gayle I mean is Dwight Gayle at Peterborough, he's only been there 6 months so would be a risk. Is there another Gayle we're after?

6'4'' - More of a Pog style forward? Pog on his way out?

Seems a good guy reading some of his interviews...
