Rumour - Aaron Tshibola

by Sutekh » 20 Jun 2015 15:45

Going to Hartlepool on season long loan according to the Hartlepool Mail....

Hartlepool United are hoping to seal a season-long loan for Reading star Aaron Tshibola.

The 20-year-old spent five months on loan at Pools last season, playing a key role in the Great Escape.

And boss Ronnie Moore is desperate to bring him back to Victoria Park for the duration of the new League Two campaign.

His signing could be revealed on Monday, when the new owners of Hartlepool united - expected to be JPNG Global - are officially announced.

The end of IOR’s spell as owners of Pools was announced on Friday teatime and SportMail understands a new signing will be paraded on Monday to mark the new owners’ arrival.

Tshibola quickly became a firm fans favourite, with the Pools supporters creating a song in his honour to the tune of Spandau Ballet’s Gold.

His form tailed off towards the end of the season, as he battled a groin injury, but Moore kept faith and he played a key role in the last two games of the season.

Providing assists to Jordan Hugill for goals against Exeter City and Carlisle United as Pools finished third-bottom in Sky Bet League Two, four points above the bottom two when all looked lost at the start of March.

Moore had tipped the midfielder to star in the Championship next but SportMail understands he could now be set for a return to The Vic instead.

Speaking in May, Moore said: “Look at Tish, Reading now know that he can play at this level and he has seen a big improvement.

“I’d love to keep him, he has been immense for me when you consider the football he has been playing.

“I think Reading will be looking at League One and bottom half of the Championship for next season and I would imagine he would have no problems getting a club there.”

Tshibola joined on loan at the start of January and went on to play in every game.

The loan market proved key to the survival bid, with Rakish Bingham, Ryan Bird, David Mirfin, Tshibola and Jordan Hugill all impressing during their temporary stints at Pools.

And Moore knows the loan market will be important again for Pools, despite already making six permanent signings.

I would hope if he's not going to be in our first team plans this season that he would get a League One move.

He's proven he can do it in League Two, so I think he needs to be looking at League One now for the next stage of his development.

Maybe send him out until January, then re-assess then and either send him back out, or take him back to take a crack at the first team.

Although you could argue that it is very different having a full season at one club, experiencing everything as part of a group and being a key part of the team to dropping in and out on short term loans.
I hope they do what is best for his development, rather than what might suit Hartlepool !

Good move, can't see him getting much action here so full season away with regular action should do him well

Optimistic speculation from a local rag - file this with "Reading to sign Cech".

Currently about fourth choice midfielder, which should present plenty of playing time next season. If we sign someone (or Clarke brings Akpan back into the fold, or Karacan stays) then I think we'll probably look to get him a League One loan next, or even to another Championship club.

Would prefer to send him to League 1 and would be good for the same club to take Kuhl as well so that they can play together.

As unlikely as it is.

In reality, sending them to the same club would mean that one of them kept the other on the bench.

Some reason to believe the Tshibola to Hartlepool stuff. One of his most recent Tweets (apparently originally posted on Instagram) is a message to two Hartlepool players saying he "can't wait for some more tika taka" and a video of them playing together.

True.

I'm sure we could put a recall clause in the loan deal to exercise if we need to.

The same two that were supposedly in for Fosu? Sounds rubbish to me, especially without a source of any kind.

EDIT: Upon looking the rumour seems to have come from the Mirror, I can't find the link as it was supposedly on their live rumours page which changes daily.

Source is the Daily Mirror (they also tipped Bond).

Ctrl-F will find it.

Reading on keeper hunt
Reading are keeping tabs on West Brom keeper Boaz Myhill and Watford's Jonathan Bond as they search for a replacement for Adam Federici.

Myhill's potential availability will depend on Ben Foster's recovery from a knee injury while Bond could be made available for a loan spell by Watford next season.

They are also running the rule over former Wigan keeper Ali Al-Habsi.

Meanwhile Aston Villa and Newcastle are keen on Reading starlet Aaron Thsibola.

The 20 year-old midfielder caught the eye while on loan at Hartlepool last season.
