Svlad Cjelli
dan19 Jut brought a new Kayak 8) Little bit more expensive than what you're looking for!

Is it one of those with a little radiator built-in to keep your feet warm?

Hell No. I have wetsuit boots!

Ah, Ok. They do say you can't have your kayak and heat it.

Sorry Dan, I can't quite see it, you don't have a bigger picture by any chance?

I've decided I'm going to get a new one now so I'll use my current boat as the spare. Not quite decided what yet but probably going to go for a Pyranha Kharnali with the connect 30 kit.

Nice boat Dan!

Went to Berkshire Canoes today and tried out a couple of boats - Axiom and Karnali. Having tried both I realised I will have far more fun in a lower volume boat. So come the weekend this will be my new weapon of choice:

Absolutely loving it. In addition to paddling on the Thames and Kennet, I've taken it on the Dart a couple of times, the Barle and up to the white water course on the Nene at Northampton. Have also surfed at Saunton Sands and Bantham. It's a great deal of fun. Manoeuvres well and is a very comfortable boat as there are a number of adjustments that can be made to ensure it fits just right. Thoroughly recommend it.

Do you ever find you have problems finding places to 'launch'? Lot of the decent places around here seem to be owned by rowing clubs so not sure how accessible they are for the general public

I paddle mainly from Wokingham Canoe Club and we can launch right outside the club. Can't say I've really ever found it an issue on the Thames. Plenty of places to get on. On the Kennet a lot of the locks are easily accessible and generally good places to launch. One of my favourites is Tyle Mill.

Lots of info on the web about kayaking and canoeing with suggested access etc.. This is a particularly good site: http://www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk/

shadesrwrf Anyone got an old kayak kicking about that they don't want? I'm prepared to pay up to about £50 quid for a half decent plastic one. TA
I have half a decent Kayak, It's yours for £50 but it won't be much use without the other half.
