£10m 3 goals already and supposedly scouted by liverpool, he has all round ability, great touch, good finish, can head a ball well and sets up goals, he definitely won't go but if he did u'd need 2 spend at least that 2 replace him. If anelka was bought for £8m  kev is worth at least £10m.

SpaceCruiser

SpaceCruiser Since we don't want to sell him at that stage of the season, we can ask for any absurd amount to put them off. Say £10 million or more.

If we sold him for £10 Million then that would be 12800% profit + Shane Long.

Hang on a minute. I'm wondering if there are any sell-on clauses in the contract? :?
In that case we'll sell him at a loss on condition that Man Utd also buy a signed match programe for £15M.

Wakey wakey.

Not proven at this level. Bought for just £78k. Anything over £2m would be seriously considered.

partially correct in my opinion - i would say closer to £4million is realistic now, but perhaps £8-10 million if he continues to show improvement and scores 15+ goals this season.

whilst do actually agree.....i think Doyle will be a better player than Anelka - however Anelka has proved himself at this level and beyond - however £8 million for Anelka is a joke - £5million max

Okay, So we're not going to sell him..... But I would hope the club have him insured for at least £5 minimum, should the unthinkable happen and he's forced to retire though injury.

I'd say 2.5 mil at the mo rising to 8.5 mil when he's scored 20 goals this season :P

I wouldn't look at precedents. If Emile Heskey is worth 5.5m, then I think Kev is worth well over 10m. But he isn't worth that. And neither is Heskey

This raises a valid point, what will the club do if we carry on as we are and in the January window clubs start offering stupid money for our key players ?

If its a ridicleous prices then we almost have to sell... despite not being a selling club. We're offered 7 million for Doyle and I think we'd sell....

Chip_Shop_Matt £5m, 2 cases of guiness and a sack of spuds.

Agreed but I'd expect nothing less than King Edwards.
