I've been doing a few calculations and I reckon surviving isn't as difficult as it's made out to be, especially with the start we've made.
We currently stand on 13 points after 7 games. Now, on average 40 points is normally a good bet for survival - that's only 9 wins. Call me optimistic but I'm sure we're more than capable of winning 9 more games this season (not least considering teams like Wigan, Fulham and Charlton have to come to the Mad Stad).

I therefore put it to you that the policy should be for flowing attacking football, with the emphasis very much on taking the 3 points rather than trying to shut teams out.

And who knows, if we get those 40 points early we may have a few games left to look Europe-wards?

Maybe if you posted something constructive and far beyond the obvious then you may get a little more respect. If you patronise intelligence then you'll get slated. As for being a dick head, I'm sure there are people out there who agree. But I'm pretty damn sure there are far more who don't.

I think there's many, many posters of HNA? who could be put firmly in the "dickhead" camp. I'm not sure this chap's effort should necessary place him in that category even if the theme of his post was a teeny bit obvious.

BTW I totally fail to see what is wrong with this original post. Yes the calculations may be obvious etc but the main point is fairly valid, reasonably novel and somewhat bold - that we should concentrate on attacking football from now on.

My response to that is I'd rather play it a little more cautious for a while.
