"The Reading Way"

by Wax Jacket » 07 Dec 2006 09:22

Not seeing quite so much of it now we've lost a game due to a dodgy penalty now - first thing I heard on the radio this morning was Coppell failing to not criticise the ref.

And now a day after revelling in the club's gentelman spirit, the Team Board's full of it too!

well I never.

It wasn't a penalty, but Sonko must learn not to look so clumsey in the penalty area.

those sorts of pen are given more often now aren't they. would it've been a foul though if it had been on the touchline and the ball had gone out for a throw?

anyway, game's over, onto the next one 8)

Another desperate lunge when he could've stayed on his feet. To be fair he pulls some great last ditch tackles like that which save us week in week out so I guess you can't take it out of him completely. We also need to just tighten up around the box in situations like that, they had too much room to create the chance in the first place.

It wasn't a foul but it's just giving the ref a decision to get wrong.

Sonko was poor last night. Should of cleared the ball instead of fouling Martins. And he didnt stay tight to Sibiereski all night. One of his worse games in a Reading shirt.

maybe other managers should take a leaf out of Steves book, its not hard to be a bit gracious in victory, but all Reoder wanted to do is have a go at little old Reading, abd did you see the way they celebrated the winning goal?
did they win the cup final last night???

Virtually. That result, against a top 6 team, pulled them out of the relegation zone. They are allowed to be a little pleased.

Perhaps he knows that losing to "little old Reading" might have meant a trip to the dole office for him.
