This was a truly terrible game of football that would have embarrassed a lot of lower division clubs, and a chilling reminder of what we used to see at Reading under TB One and TB Two in the not-so-distant past. It surpassed even our hosts' dire game against Sheffield United on Sky a fortnight ago. The only positive is that we don't have to endure this kind of rubbish week-in, week-out. On Saturday's showing, I'm quite frankly surprised that Watford have got any fans left. They can keep my thirty two quid but can I have my wasted afternoon back please?

Hopefully Foy has recovered from the vacuum in time that was this match and will do all in his power to ensure a good open game where our second string can ping it about with gay abandon and rack up another gargantuan scoreline.

It would appear to be the case that we are the victims of a late reshuffle and our prize is ROB STYLES... 4th official changed to Danny McDermid.

Usually the FA try to keep the same Reffing team in cases like this dependantly obviously on availability etc.I`ll post here if I news of changes.

When a ref has a crap game, everyone (including me) piles in; when, as in this case, the ref had a good game - kept it flowing, barely noticeable, justified yellows (both of them) - no-one can be bothered to say so.

After the penalty decision at Newcastle, I thought Styles would be dreadful, but he wasn't - far from it. Would welcome him back after his performance last night.

He ignored about 5 dangerous tackles in the "let the play" continue line. Gave Bikey a yellow for holding on but let Panicbuyi off for climbing all over Lita and then another time Pearce.

He was reasonable, but horribly inconsistent.
