Yes Seol was a serious disappointment.

The views on this site are not just based on this one game. A pattern has emerged which has convinced most people that Seol cannot be arsed. He gives the impression, rightly or wrongly, that he cannot be bothered to chase back or beat his man anymore. After the stunning start to the season he has gone off the boil just as he did with Wolves.

Presumably he has a three year contract and is sitting pretty so don't expect him to be moving on in a hurry.

2 world wars, 1 world cup

I didn't get tpo watch this match (working). I'm shocked about the seemingly unanimous view on poor Seol.

Was he REALLY that bad????

Although there were concerns as to his fitness levels as he would slow down afetr 70 mins or so he used to be awesome.

And that overwhelmingly pro-Reading report (Coppellism) heaps praise on Seol for being a reason we destroyed Man Utd in our turnaround.

So how come there are so many negative views? Is it the typical bandwagon jumping (and scapegoating) that occurs on HNA or is it truly that the guy was terrible?

I'm confused. :?

You're not the only one, granted watching on TV is different from being there but he certainly wasnt anonymous and although lacked much spark put in some dangerous crosses and had a shot in the 1st half which but for a good save from Van De Saar was going in. I do think Oster and Little would be a better option down the wings though, certainly Oster is more deserving of a starting place after his cup performances.
Edit - assuming Hunt doesnt play of course!

For me I was more concerned with Ingimarrson. I didnt want to give him a 5 but he got off to a poor start and was pretty anonymous for the rest of the match. In the 2nd half it seemed as though Gunarrsson and Bikey were covering for him a lot.

Royalee
Seol - can f*ck off back to Wolves

With Lita I assume (knowing your penchant for picking on a player and deciding he isn't fit to wear the hoops).

Big Ern Ratings

Fed 4 At fault for the first 2 goals. On this showing Marcus has nothing to worry about.
DLC 7 Always a bit suspect defending, but did some great work going forward
Bikey - 6 Was asleep for the first 6 minutes, but when we went man for man at the back he was excellent.
Ingi - 6 Did well to set up the first goal, but wasn;t comfortable with the 5 man defence at the start. As soon as we changed to 4-4-2, he looked back to his assured best
Shorey 6 Did okay, but his crossing again was woeful
Gunnarsson 9 - Best player on the pitch
Sidwell - 7 Worked hard all night
Oster - 8 Looked dangerous on both wings
Doyle - 4 - If it wasn;t for his pathetic attempt to win a penalty, woulnd't have noticed he was playing. Needs to regain match fitness
Kitson 7 - Some nice touches and in the right place at the right time to score.
Seol - 4 Woeful peformance. Did nothing all night. Only 1 decent cross from memory. Should have been subbed at half time.

Subs

Little 8 - Tore Man Utd to shreds. Should have replced the cumbersome Seol earlier
Lita 8 - Shopwed why will struggle to keep hold of him at the end of the season. Well taken goal.

ok seol was probably a 5.5 for me

hwe put in way more than 1 cross, and had a few good shots too
the times he held on to the ball was becuase it was only kits in the box,
lay off him, he was ok
