Royal Rother So with Pearce we have yet more evidence of the intelligence factor in Reading's recruits I've been highlighting for a while.

We should sign Stephen Hawking.

Tell him about the 'evidence of the intelligence factor' in Reading's recruits that you have been highlighting for a while.

Even if can't make it, he might know some 'intelligent' people who would be good at this football lark.

Smoking Kills Dancing Doe To be honest with the quality of reserve team football so terrible at the moment, I think another season of palying 1st team football is just what he needs. Not sure how many Championship sides would take a risk on a teenage center half so going back to Northampton would seem like a good option. Stuart Gray's got a great track record with youngsters too.

I'd be delighted if we could get another season out of him. He had Moses Ashikodi (on loan from Watford to Bradford) in his back pocket on Saturday... and that lad's been deemed good enough for Rangers and West Ham ( :D ) in the past.

If we could get him alongside Doig and Mark Hughes (who we near enough nicked off of Everton in January for £70,000) that would be a play off challenging back 3.

 It's a shame Coppell can't bring his recruitment policies to bear on the HNA membership at least then we'd probably be shot of witless buffoons like you.

I think Graham does a good job, you can always leave if you can't stand not being shot of witless buffoons like myself.

What did Steve say?

Little bit of Alex Pearce trivia for you; he spent his first six years living in Russia with his English father and Russian mother and was by all accounts a highly talented youg gymanst representing the Russian under-8s gymnastice team on the vault and the a-symmetric bars.

Nice to hear he's doing well for you, although it doesn't surprise me in the slightest having seen him several times in the reserves and academy and he's already better than all of our centre backs bar Sonks and Ivar in my eyes. No chance of you getting him permanently I'm afraid as he'll be in our starting line-up before long.

We all know what Moses Ashidoki had in his back pocket on Saturday.

Just because he went to a posh school, doesn't mean he's intelligent.

So much better than them all that he is third in line for a starting place - ahead of Bikey and Duberry?

Or maybe not, in the eyes of the one person who matters?

Given he hadn't had any first team action, I'm pleased Coppell's chosen to loan him out to get him well up to speed - Bikey and Duberry already had games and were therefore less of a risk to take.

So, what you really meant was that he has more potential than the other two, rather than that he is already a better player?

Here's another nice illustration of the superior intelligence of Reading players (if any 'Nobbers with a modicum of intelligence themselves actually doubted it):

Graeme Murty said "Something that has helped is that you are playing against world-class players week in, week out," he said. "If you make a mistake anywhere on the pitch it gets punished, because the guys at a higher level assimilate information much quicker."

Ask any member of the England squad what assimilate means....

He then went on to say: "I don't know a lot about the (Scotland) manager, maybe he doesn't know that much about me or the other English-based players."

But he added: "I am only responsible for what I do. It's down to the manager who he selects, if he doesn't select me then there's something I've done that I need to do better."

Most members of the England squad have egos far bigger than their intellect and would be totally unable to comprehend what Murty is getting at.

No, I think he's better already but I'm glad Coppell's choosing to test him in League 1 before throwing him in at the deep end.

Probably got a Scottish granny or something! Either that or the Russians taught him how to be a master of disguise and infiltrate foreign organisations!
