Yeah, that was a terrible ball to Gunnar for the goal wasn't it? Probably just a miskick eh?

Royalee Thought we were poor against a very average Liverpool side recovering from midweek.

Sorry, can I ask which game you were watching?

Brilliant covering of Shorey for their second as well. Remind me, how many crosses did he manage to put in the box today if you deduct corners? Liverpool won the game by using width, of which we had none.

How many saves did Reina have to make? If we'd played anywhere near our best, we'd have won today.

Katie Marsden Liverpool fans once again showing their obsession with Man United with a rather tacky home made banner

I normally like and admire the Scouse wit but that banner was made by a half-wit!

The cross (well perhaps not technically a cross, more of a deadly accurate pass, following a nice turn which wrong footed the defender), for our goal for one. I presume you won't count that one because you have your "I hate Hunt" glasses on.

Nope - good pass, just a shame he didn't put any crosses in and paid a massive part in us conceding the winner, making his earlier contribution irrelevant.

So he instructed Shorey to go charging forward and then lose possession did he?

And don't try to claim that he should have covered in behind Shorey as there wasn't time.

At the end of the day we got caught by two quick counter attacks as we tried to take the game to Liverpool.

Maybe we should have settled for the point with less than ten minutes to go but the fact we went for the winner shows how much belief and ambition there is in our team.

Ask yourself why he was charging forward - was it because Hunt left him with no alternative as he failed to link up with him properly for most of the game?

Really dissapoined with liverpool fans. Big myth that they have good support, havn't heard any good reports from other fans on them this season either. I thought the likes of everton, man united, liverpool, tottenham ,pompey, etc would all be loud passionate and something to admire, quite the opposite. Pompey only woke up for a little spell when their celeb fan walked in, everton have been the worst by far this season, and liverpool were the prime case of "you only sing when your winning". United and tottenham had a bit more character, but the myth that these clubs are well supported is just that, a myth.

Hunt did keep on trying to take the ball off OUR own players when in posession. I noticed 3 times.

1) Kits had ball running down left wing, hunt tried taking it off him then, as ball bobbled about, liverpool got the ball

2)I think it was shorey involved with Hunt where again hunt tried getting the ball first.

3) Doyle running onto the ball hunt comes in the charges in front of him by the by line and pretty much gives it to their keeper.

All 3 times he wasted 3 good opportunities for us to have a good attack at goal. Disappointed with him today tbh.

In the past few weeks our midfield four have been poor and I feel sorry for the strikers who are left two v four or five.
I wonder if we are just burnt out.
If you were looking from the outside you would probably think that ours is a typical promoted club season-good in the first-half of the season carrying on with promotion form and the winning habit but in the second half of the season sussed more by the opposition and fading as the season progresses.
It looks like 10th spot or thereabouts now which represents a fantastic season.

It shows how far we have come when we are disappointed at not taking a point off Liverpool-today we could have done if Shorey hadn't believed the hype and tried to play fancy stuff, losing possession and before you know it they have scored the winner.
By the way in response to the poster who queried whether their first goal was offside all around us thought that OURS was.
One final point-for all their lack of pace don't our two Icelandics read the game well and Ivar IMHO is way ahead as our player of the season.

That may be true. But its not all about saves. Its when you take your chances and how you take them. Also luck comes into it. If Crouch was 6ft 5" that would have been and own goal

A big whoooooosh to people who picked up on my repLOLica shirt comment btw

I personally have no problem with them I was merely taking the piss out of people who said how great Liverpool's support is and their lack of shirts makes them 'real' fans.

Sharpy look at utd when they came to us and im sure liverpool will be the same....they are all casuals or people who would rather not wear the colours.

Likewise - I have only ever worn my Reading shirt in two places. When playing football and when watching football. Quite what is so offensive about them I don't understand.

Simple really, according to some on here you are not a true fan unless you :-

1. Stand all the time in front of old ladies, small children at away games(because manners don't count when you are a true fan).

2. Wear Stone Island etc because then you look like you the fans off the telly which must make you a real fan.

If you happen to want to wear a replica shirt to a home game and support your team in any other way you have no credibility and are therefore a total gayer (apparently).

Our resident part time Liverpool/Man Utd fans are always going on about how plastic Reading are because so many of our fans wear replica shirts.

I believe this dig at the Liverpool fans was actually a dig back and them, as was a similar comment after the Utd game.
